Cr Korzy to move motion for Poll

Pittwater Ward Councillor Miranda Korzy has put forward a motion for the Northern Beaches Council to Poll Residents as to whether they are in favour of deamalgamation. Cr Korzy’s motion proposes that the formal Poll be conducted at the same time as the 2024 Local Government Elections, which is the most cost effective way to conduct a Council wide formal poll.

The motion is listed on Northern Beaches Council’s meeting agenda for Tuesday 30 April 2024. The motion also seeks to have Council prepare a ‘desktop report’ on the 3 keys areas concerning de-amalgamation – financial implications, community cohesion and democractic representation.
